Federal Skilled Worker Program

You can come to Canada as a skilled foreign worker if you possess the necessary skilled work experiencelanguage ability and education among other requirements.

This can happen in six months under a special immigration system to fast-track the best candidates for permanent residency to Canada.  Let Global Direct Canada Immigration Services assess your eligibility and get you started. We will see your file through to completion.

If you meet specific minimum requirements, you will be assessed on six selection factors:

  • Your skills in English and/or French (Canada’s two official languages),
  • Your education,
  • Your work experience (at least one year of full-time continuous skilled work experience or equal amount of part-time work experience within the last ten years before you apply),
  • Your age,
  • Whether you have a valid job offer, and
  • Your adaptability (how well you are likely to settle here).

Proof of funds (you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and family, after you arrive in Canada) unless you:

  • are currently able to legally work in Canada, and
  • have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada.

You must also plan to live outside of the province of Quebec, which does not use Express Entry. They select their own skilled workers.
